This is an AC to DC ignition conversion CDI box. It bypasses the source coil on your stator and powers the ignition system directly from the battery for improved starting, performance, and reliability.

The CDI box installs tightly in the original rubber boot and mounting location.

The connectors plug in like the OEM. There are different numbers and colour wires, but this does not affect operation.

The original Yellow/Black wire from the vehicle is not used. The Orange wire on CDI box provides battery power when the key is on. It is connected in between the horn Brown wire, and the terminal on the horn.

Please note:

The only real way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known good unit from the same year / make / model. Because of this, we recommend that you rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box.

Ordered a pair of Alpinestars J6 boots for a great price. Initially told that the boots had to come from the warehouse, so there would be a delay of three days, so no biggie. Got an email back straight away saying I was in luck and that they did in fact have a pair in stock. Shipped that day and arrived the day after. Super service. Will definitely shop there again, and will try to get to the store in person too.

The Motorcycle shop you need. The only one. Phil is nothing short of a legend for sorting me out and assisting with purchasing and liaising for the fitment of my exhaust and air filter as well as the service for the bike. Super friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The shop is funky and well stocked with a range of awesome gear and accessories and you can even grab yourself an awesome cup of coffee. Cannot recommend them more for any of your biking needs. After the experience I had with another shop (Triumph CBD), it was a breath of fresh air to have Phil and to have a completely hassle free experience and have some good old fashioned no BS customer service

I’ve been here on a few occasions and the service from the guys is one I can never fault! Just a really passionate team who go above and beyond to deliver the best customer service :) On my most recent visit, I came by to buy some oil and chain cleaner and then just happened to ask if they stocked a bar end weight I was after and they did! The interaction could’ve ended at them showing me where it was and that it would fit my bike. But no instead Jay unpacked it and proceeded to fit it on my bike, unfortunately although it did fit in size it wasn’t compatible without a spacer for my throttle lever. So they ended up doing a fair bit of work in removing, installing etc and even took back the part and gave me a full refund for it. All of this at like 4:45 pm too. I’ve been to several bike shops in the past year but the great attitude and friendless here compares to none! Plus, it’s the closest shop to me and I’m so glad it is.

HIGHSIDE is now my favourite moto shop. Phil is incredibly kind and helpful and has sourced parts for me when not in stock. They have arrived within days. The shop has a heap of great gear and accessories....and GREAT COFFEE! HIGHSIDE also do custom leathers - check out their instagram. One of the best things about HIGHSIDE is the community, everyone is so friendly and great to chat too. To be honest, sometimes I just stop by for a chat after a ride. If you're going past, drop in for a coffee and a chat. This is how a moto store should be! Drop in and support this great shop.

Came here with my dad during a hooligan meet up and had amazing service , amazing coffee and the history with the bikes and clothing were awsome, free stickers were a nice add on the community here is great I would definitely recommend doing this and coming here with other people.
